This cute Country Bear can be stitched on 14 or 18 count aida

You will need

The following DMC threads:
321 - Christmas Red
307 - Lemon Yellow
White
311 - Navy Blue
794 - Cornflower Blue
420 - Hazel Nut Brown – Dark
422 - Hazel Nut Brown – Light
898 - Coffee Brown
310-Black

Step-by-step

1. The finished design size of this cross-stitch is:
14 count Aida - 11.6cm by 14.2cm
18 count Aida - 9cm by 11 cm

So ensure that you cut a piece of Aida larger than the finished design size.

3. Find the centre of the pattern, and the centre of the Aida, and this is the best place to start stitching.

4. In order to keep the Aida tort whilst stitching, use an embroidery hoop. Ensure that you remove the material from the hoop when you are not stitching in order to reduce the hoop marks left in the fabric.

5. If stitching on 14 count Aida, cross-stitch using 3 strands of DMC thread. Use 2 strands if stitching on 18 count Aida.

6. Backstitch using 1 strand of black 310 DMC thread
